Last week I had the pleasure of attending Disney's Frozen on Ice at the Long Beach Arena! First of all, I LOVE this Arena. The seats are all amazing. I have seen everything from Linkin Park to now Disney on Ice. I was a little extra excited to attend this show. My daughter is a huge Frozen fan. And to be honest so am I!! I was anxious to see the entire story be brought to life on the ice. At the last Disney on Ice show we attended during the holidays, they had a much smaller Frozen performance. I truly loved what we saw then, and we were both excited to see how the full version would play out. Let me just tell you, we were in love!! The show is amazing!! And it will melt your heart! If you arrive a little early, there are several cute souvenir stands. We got a light up wand, which is really fun. My daughter is still carrying it around a week after. There is a photo opportunity area, and you can get a nice picture to take home. There is a fee for that. And if snacks, treats or refreshments are your thing, they have several Frozen themed goodies. I got an Olaf cup with what else in it? A snow cone. He's adorable and very well made.

The show starts with an opening number and introduction from Mickey and Minnie. Then shortly after they were joined by Goofy, Donald, and appearances from your favorite friends from The Lion King, Finding Dory and Toy Story! And then the Princesses. Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Ariel to name a few. Then it was time for Arendelle to be brought to life. Enter Sven and a young Kristoff. The opening number, Frozen Heart was perfect. Sven is absolutely stunning! His face is so life like you just want to hug him. Next was our favorite scene, Young Anna and Young Elsa playfully skating and bringing the youthfulness of these heroines to life. Up next is the very memorable "Do you want to build a Snowman?". That is the very scene that sets the tone and story line of Frozen. Two sister's love. Then we fast forward to grown Anna and Elsa as they are getting ready for Coronation Day. It's Coronation Day!!! The talented skaters who portrayed Anna and Elsa, nailed the characters. They were exceptional! Next enter Hans and "Love is an Open Door".  The skater who portrayed Hans, was very talented. He had Hans down to the tee! After the argument  between Anna and Elsa over "True Love" and "marrying a man you just met". The spectacles and special effects begin and the whole show takes it up a few notches. Scene change. Enter Elsa solo. The opening melodies of "Let it Go" begin, and an even more epic performance by Elsa begins. Elsa's transformation into the Ice Queen. That piece was stunning! The choreography, costume changes and pageantry of bringing one of Frozen's most pivotal scenes comes to life. If you are not a Frozen fan by now, you will be after that number! Next enter a grown up Kristoff and Sven! They race to North Mountain to find Elsa, but along the way they meet our favorite snowman Olaf. "Hi, I'm Olaf. And I like warm hugs." And then my favorite piece of the night, "Summer"!! This performance reminded me of old Hollywood glamour. There were vintage pin up girls ready for the pool, seagulls, bees, and all things that remind you summer and sun!!! The ensemble was on point! And the costumes..... the details were just breathtaking.

We have a brief intermission, and then we are transported back to the Ice Castle. Marshmallow, Elsa's snow monster enters! This was amazing! The effects to bring him to life was exceptional. Truly amazing and done in pure Disney style of bringing the animated feature to life. The Trolls are next and that in itself was awesome. We have several random rocks just roll on in, Kristoff introduces his friends to his "family". "Kristoff's home!!!" The Trolls were just adorable. The costumes, and playfulness of their persona was carefully choreographed into a very fun piece. As we head back to Arendelle for the last few scenes, you really don't want the show to end. We have some more amazing effects, as Anna is suddenly completely Frozen. Shielding her beloved sister Elsa, from Hans' sword. Devastated, Elsa hugs her sister Anna, and we witness "an act of true love" that thaws the icy Anna. The finale commences and we are left with a happy heart.

All in all, the show is amazing. If you are a Frozen fan you will love this. And if you have a slightly frozen heart, this show will have you melting! Go see it, enjoy it! And Let it all go at Disney Frozen on Ice!!
