  The days are definitely longer and oh my, the days are oh so much hotter!! We decided to publish each week a Top 10 list of what to do around town or things to do at home! For week one we will share 10 events to check out this week! If you would like to be featured in our Top Ten send us an email. Look for the email link at the bottom of the Top 10 list. So here we go....... 

1. It's a new month and you know what that means.... It's Kid's Workshop time at Home Depot!! This month kids can make a really cool Fishing Game. Home Depot Kids is always the FIRST Saturday of the month. Please go to this link to register your child for this awesome DIY event. It's first come first served so plan to get there early. 2. Hotel Transylvania 3 Character Visit at Kidspace!!  Saturday July 7th 11:00 - 3:00 Enjoy a special visit from characters, Drac and Mavis, from the upcoming Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacationmovie release! The characters will visit in intervals from 11:00am to 3:00pm.Stop by to meet and take photos with them, and there will be giveaways for kids to enjoy (while supplies last)!

3. There are TWO Awesome story times this Saturday July 7th at the Glendora Barnes and Noble. Storytime featuring Neck & Neck and a visit from Go Team Therapy Dogs!! In this laugh-out-loud new book from the creator of the bestselling If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't!, a giraffe's self-esteem is tested during a hilarious confrontation between unlikely look-alikes. Then stay to meet to meet the Therapy Dogs who are here the first Saturday of every month. More info HERE

4. Head to Michael's on Saturday June 7th 1:00 - 3:00 to make slime that’s out of this world! They will provide the supplies, including the premade slime. How cool is this? Beat the heat and make some slime. More info Here 

5. If you love soccer and are a fan of the world cup, you don't want to miss GOOOOL! The World Cup's Greatest Moments!

An original art exhibition supported by the FIFA World Football Museum in Zürich, Switzerland featuring images, jerseys, soccer balls, medals, tickets, and other soccer objects that reveal the greatest and most controversial moments in soccer history.

GOOOOL! The World Cup’s Greatest Moments is also presented in association with the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, which in June will display Goles y Pasiones: 11 Décadas de Futbol en México (Goals and Passions: 11 Decades of Soccer in Mexico).

This exhibit will focus on significant soccer events and rare collectibles that will forever remind visitors of the triumphs, heartbreaks and real-life heroes like Pelé (Brazil), Diego Maradona (Argentina), and Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) that continue to motivate young, aspiring soccer players and fans everywhere.

GOOOOL! The World Cup’s Greatest Moments will be open to the public from May 3 through September 16, 2018 at the Forest Lawn Museum, Forest Lawn-Glendale, 1712 S. Glendale Blvd., Glendale, California.

6. Learn to make a Cookie Bouquet at Michael's!! If you have ever wanted to learn to make fancy schmancy cookies, now is your time!! Register at Michael's for this fun class for the beginner. Learn simple buttercream piping techniques to turn plain sugar cookies into a gorgeous edible bouquet! Supplies are not included and may cost up to $34. You can go HERE for more info. 

7. Go head to the beach for this fun exhibit and beat the heat Sea Monsters at the Discovery Cube's Ocean Quest in Newport Beach!! Explore everything prehistoric and then go get a cool treat at one of the amazing eateries in Newport or go park and take a splash at the beach. Make a day of it. 8. Raging Waters!!! Need I say more?? It's HOT! Go cool down, with your friends and family. Rent a cabana and relax while the kids swim Got littles? No worries, plenty of places to splash for them and for you to keep cool.
Family fun is guaranteed at this 44-acre water park. You can still get in on the payment plan on passes. Go HERE for info on passes.

9. Time for Twirling!!! If you have a little on or an aspiring ballerina, check out The TuTu School San Dimas or TuTu School Pasadena for a trial class. My daughter goes weekly to ballet and has performed numerous time with her school. It's a great time to try out a class this summer. Go to the  San Dimas or the Pasadena websites and schedule your trial class for your shining start! I guarantee you will fall in love with the world of dance. 

10. Yogurt!! Fro-Yo!!! Go grab some! My favorite place is Yogurtland. And even if I am traveling, I know I can get that taste I love at a local spot. And they have new flavors for summer!! Butter Pecan Lite, Smores and Blue Raspberry Sorbet flavored with real Jolly Ranchers!! I personally loved the Blue Raspberry and my kids loved the Smores!! Go grab yourself a cup and talk to your kids about their summer bucket list. Next week we will share a bucket list you can print out.
