We are big fans of movies and animated features. I was really excited to learn that a new pop up experience was going up in Hollywood. The same exact corner where the "It" house was last year. I was delighted to go check out the experience because this time it was kid friendly! We checked in and was escorted into an arctic world! Amazing A/C adds to the experience! Not only is it a great way to cool down, it adds to the ambiance of being in the snow. We climbed up a staircase all decorated with whimsical creatures and decor. We were greeted by some very large Yeti footprints and a pair of small feet! Boots owned by Percy. You can stand in the footprints and take a picture. Those are some larger than life footprints!!

The next photo opportunity area is an adorable swing!! A child can sit on it, and you can choose from some very fashionable faux fur wraps to complete your arctic look. There are iPads set up to take your photo and you can simply email your photo to yourself! There is also a photo opportunity with a giant Yeti!! You can climb up a few stairs and pose like the Yeti is carrying you above his head. And again there is someone below with an iPad to take your photo and email it to you. Everywhere you look in this pop up, there are details! Like these Yeti Newspapers that you can take home, and hang up. They are positioned right in front of a TV showing the nightly news.

On the same floor there is another photo area with an iPad set up to take your Gif!! You can create a fun Gif, dancing, moving and just being animated! There are tons of fun props to play with and you can have your very own Gif sent to you via email! We had fun dancing with these big fish!! After you are finished with your photos you can slide down the slide to go to the main floor. Such a cute set up!! You get to slide down the tunnel with a burlap bag. If sliding is not your thing, you can take the stairs.

Once you get back down to the main floor, that is where all the activities are!! A ball pit of epic snowballs!! There is a gaming section, with a carnival game, a game table set up with Yeti in my Spaghetti and many family favorites. Yeti in my Spaghetti is a favorite in our household. Next up is Skee Ball!! Our teenage son loved the game section of the village. After you are done playing you can grab a pack of "Snowballs" to eat later. There is a Karaoke room and a coloring station! You can color on a giant dry erase board. they have coloring pages on one table and a big roll of coloring sheets on the other!! If you like to color, you will love this! I loved the idea of the dry erase coloring board.

After you are all done with your experience there is a cute little gift shop. I think this is the BEST free pop up experience!! It was so well thought out, designed and planned. It is super clean and there are plenty of helpful staff to assist you. It's also very safe! You can reserve your tickets by going HERE!! It was a hit for our 5 year old daughter, our 15 year old son and my husband and I. Truly perfect for ALL ages!!

You can make an afternoon of it, and walk around the Hollywood Walk of Fame after!! We decided to take a walk down to Mann's Chinese Theater and eat dinner at Hollywood and Highland. We stopped for ice-cream at the cutest new little mom and pop stop, called the Starway Caffe. Super yummy smoothies, ice-cream and fresh squeezed juice! Really awesome staff/owner and a clean restroom! Stop by after your Yeti experience for a nice cold treat! You can find them at 6511 Hollywood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90028

The Yeti Village closes on September 14th, so be sure to request your FREE passes to experience it! The whole experience takes around 40 minutes. I think you and your family will have as much FUN as we did!! Thanks for reading our Macaroni Kid Review!! See ya, next time!!

For more info on the Yeti Village, read on.

The movie “Smallfoot,” in theaters across the U.S. and Canada on September 28, will take audiences to the secret snowbound world of the legendary yeti in an animated adventure for the whole family.  But starting August 12 and running through September 14, people can have their own personal “Smallfoot” encounter at the Smallfoot Yeti Village in Hollywood.  Staged on two levels, this fully immersive, family-friendly experience will transport visitors to two very different worlds—the yeti mountain home above the clouds and the smallfoot, aka human, land below—as they discover the big “myth-understanding” between them.

Guests will enjoy a 40-minute, yeti-sized adventure, featuring a snowball pit and 20-foot spiral slide; recreated film environments, including karaoke at the Yak Shack; plus arts and crafts, games, and other exciting themed activities to celebrate the fun and wonder of this new film. Custom photo moments will ensure everyone goes home with a yeti encounter to share.
